Like what teams? I don't see Bama or Auburn playing there anytime soon. There's a reason that the Super 6 was moved out of Legion Field, people didn't want to go there. I'll give you the Magic City Classic but that's literally the super bowl of HBCs and that demographic is a little more comfortable and welcome at legion field than most.

I've also been in a sold out Legion Field for Bama v. MTSU, maybe 10 years ago

Such bullshite backfilling and excuses to justify what they wanted to happen. It's bad for Birmingham and bad for UAB as an independent institution. Very frustrating the lack of accountability and recourse that are available for some non-profits, universities, etc.

AU folks were through with Lowder more than a couple years before the university was through with him. The state senate went to put him back on (over the votes of the Alumni), but enough hell was raised that it was stopped.

So all the white UAB students should get a pass for not supporting the team because they aren't as comfortable going into a poor black neighborhood as AA&M and ASU fans.
