LSU, AU, and AR don't even allow their sister schools to play football, let alone FBS football. UAB was given a chance, and supported for 20+ years. Let me know the next time another SEC school does the same.

I really hope this is the action needed for change.

University of Birmingham sounds nice. Face facts, BoT no longer works for two large campuses. It is clear they are viewed as competition in some manner (attempting to shutter Honors Program as well).

Then UA won't have to cry about money to athletics and UAB can keep the research money it generates.

LSU-S=4,082 students not big enough for D1 football
LSU-A=2,233 students not big enough for D1 football
UAB=18,000 students that is almost the size of ULM and LaTech combined

Do you see the difference?
