If that is true then that is an actual issue that should be addressed immediately. And if it came out that Bear Jr or anyone from the UAT side was meddling with UAB academics in someway then I'd hope it was swiftly dealt with.
This football nonsense is just not in the same ballpark as that.

i have said it before, I am all for continuing to build out UAB as a first class academic institution. Give them more resources, new facilities, hire more professors and researchers, on and on....but this football business is nonsense and $75MM could be better spent to support those endeavors.
