I went back and watched the North Texas game.

Hard to blow a team out when they shoot as well as they did. 10-20 3pt 26-58 FG.

At first glance I was upset, but the mean green played well. Definitely could beat some good teams.

They were hitting contested shots, it isn't "bad defense" or "poor execution" or whatever you want to blame it on, it was a team hitting tough shots.

It happens.

Its also hard to blow a team out that keeps the tempo of the game where they want it, but they ended up being up by 20 with a couple minutes to go anyway.

Iona is a different challenge, UNT has decent guards and good guard play, Iona has great guard play and presents a problem of 4 players at any time on the court able to hit a three, all five able to handle the ball.

Look past the names of the team and you will see these teams are playing the style of ball, centered around guard play, that is what wins in the NCAA tourney. Good tests to start a season off having to play against teams that play like this instead of scheduling teams that you have the advantage on and easily roll at home.
