I'm sitting a prayer meeting because some important people in my church (good friends of mine) have managed to frick up their lives and potentially our church with their dumb life choices and I'm wondering why in the hell I'm here like I'm going to pray them back home or some shite.

A tip: Try to personally help them. I believe that prayer is for the individual..praying for others is just for a peace of mind but if you want real results, then make an effort to help the person you're praying for and pray for guidance on how to do so. IMO that is the instance where God would be willing to help make a difference.
Instead of praying then thinking "well that's all i can do", if you care about the people then pray for God to open their eyes, and make an effort yourself to be straight with them and offer help
