Hint: when the d jumps offsides, the QB doesn't actually look to see which line judge throws the flag, thank me later.

Qbs can't always see if a flag is thrown, they often times assume that one is. That's clearly what he did. I highly doubt he throws that pass if LSU doesn't jump.

Yes. It's a free play so you're free to go for a high risk high reward play.
