I just don't understand the urge to write the initial article. People can sell it as some sort of tradition and that's fine, but it doesn't make the reasoning behind starting the "tradition" any more fathomable. Not even a clever troll.

Maybe not clever, but definitely successful. It's stirred up some shite, that's for sure.
All it took was an article where a guy turns the Ole Miss stereotype up to 11.
