We're talking 2007 level. Plus Gus is on track to win more games in his 1st 2 years than Saban did at Bama.

We can argue about Gus and his system and what he already had in place all day. He did a magnificent job last season, but he walked into a situation where guys on offense that he had recruited himself were already there and already knew how the system worked. His year one was significantly easier in terms of implementation than the majority of first year coaches. However, that team went 3-9 the year before so what he did was extremely impressive.

I think he's just a relatively new head coach who doesn't have a whole lot of experience with situations like the one he is going through now. Will be interesting to see how he learns and grows from it. But there will be a lot of learning on the job. The theatrics and winning of year 1 masked a lot of that, but dealing with adversity and issues in your program is one of the hard parts of being a head coach that a guy has to figure out on the job. Gus just has to do it at Auburn instead of Western Kentucky or Kent State like a lot of guys do.

Yeah, well you won about 4 games you had no business winning last year, and the bullshite luck has finally vanished. 2014 Auburn isn't any worse than 2013 Auburn -- you just aren't getting all the bullshite bounces this year.

There's also the fact that Gus's mickey mouse offense doesn't surprise and confuse teams as much as it did last year. The longer he stays in this league the more his guerrilla tactics will have diminishing returns.
