This. I've seen boys high school basketball teams that could beat WNBA teams. Womens basketball is horrible.

I'm sure there will be some that come in and say you're an idiot, but you're absolutely right. Here's a little story.
When I was at UGA our wbb team was fairly good, around a top 10ish team that had a consensus all american. Coach Landers had "tryouts" (for lack of a better word, maybe open invitation would be better) on campus for a group of guys with basketball experience to scrimmage against the team a few times a week for practice. One of my buddies played on our HS bb team but he came off the bench and was mainly just there to pass the ball. Him and a few other guys that had played in HS (but obviously not in college, since they were just normal UGA students) would routinely beat the girls teams arse. He said it wasn't even close, the difference in men's and women's game is just night and day.
Our HS team was nationally ranked and consisted of a guy who started in the SEC (top 25 national player in hs), a guy who went straight to the nba (top 25 national player), and a guy who played at butler. I have no doubt that team could have beaten a wnba team.

This is not hyperbole. I witnessed it as well.
Mississippi State had a decent women's basketball team at the time (had two No. 1 WNBA draft picks on the same team) and would routinely get beat by the scout team, made up of decent high school players that weren't good enough to play college ball but were just normal MSU students. It was surreal.

What is so special about a "FIJIAN frick?" Is it something the rest of us need to know about?

Yet WBB is #3 in televised college sports behind only CFB and MBB. Ahead of baseball, hockey, soccer, and other assorted NCAA sports.

Because ESPN sucks the Title IX cock (or lack thereof).

So, 7.6 million folks showed up in 2014 to watch a live college WBB game because ESPN sucks Title IX cock? Almost 1 million of those fans in the seats were SEC home games (SEC was #1 in home attendance last season followed by #2 B1G, and #3 B12)
2014 Top 15 attendance at home games
# 1 Tennessee
# 9 Kentucky
#10 South Carolina
#14 Texas A&M
2014 largest increase in attendance from previous year
# 1 South Carolina
# 7 Mississippi State
