Has been nicked up all year and really hasn't made a statement like Ingram, Richardson and Lacy did. They just took games over. Now, part of that is due to offensive line and possibly play calling -- though I'm in the camp that says, "Kiffin is one of the primary reasons we've had the success we've had."

My point is, that Alabama for years has been machine-like in their precision. They just ground opposing teams to dust. This year is more up and down. There are moments of brilliance but they're often followed by complete ineptitude.

And we just don't have the guys up front or in the middle of the defense to take games over and break wills.

ETA: LSU poster is right that this team is probably one of Saban's worst as far as talent and consistency goes. Still might win it all. How nice is that?

Alabama is very talented but very young. I believe Phil Steele had us ranked 107th or 108th in the FBS when it came to experience level. Mississippi State was ranked in his Top 10 in terms of experience.

We are where we are right now because of the talent we have. What they lack in experience/technique they make up with heart as well as pure athleticism.
