Not sure if serious ... or citing Br'er Rabbit.
Muschamp is one helluva DC and I want him nowhere near the SEC unless he's at UGA.

If Muschamp is hired, I fully believe he would have an eye on parlaying it into a shot at the head coaching position when Spurrier retires. I don’t think it would come with a coach in waiting tag, but I could see South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner offering assurances that he would receive serious consideration when the time comes
But this part would make me happy from a competition stand point. That would be an absolutely miserable Head Coaching hire for y'all and make UGA's life in the east. I think Ward and Muschamp would end up butting heads about the defense, as well. Muschamp is a guy who, for about the last decade, has had total control over his defenses and I doubt Ward would want to relinquish control of his defense.

It would only be temporary as I'm sure Ward would be encouraged to take a HC job somewhere. And Muschamp may not be a bad HC if he has a beast OC..... and junior Spurrier and GA do run a pretty good offense.
Just some food for thought.

From 247 today:
Muschamp is a real possibility for SC, as an Asst HC. He and Spurrier have the same agent and talks are occurring. Spurrier will not fire Ward, but we may lose a Def Position Coach to make room for Muschamp.
Muschamp gets to keep the $6.4M UF buyout, even with the technical resignation and after taking a job elsewhere.
Muschamp can't personally recruit anyone UF has offered for 1 year, from the moment he officially resigns. That won't impact 2015 much, but it may impact some 2016 recruits that UF offered during this year. It won't matter for the 2017 players.
The time has come to think of this as a real possibility and not just wishful thinking.

As long as we keep Ward and replace Deke Adams with Brad Lawing I'm on board.

I think that's the dream, but far from reality right now. Muschamp is a real possibility, I think the way it is now, we are in the lead for landing his services, but there are other opportunities, like a HC job at a smaller football school, DC at aTm or he might become a DC in the NFL again.
For Lawing, I've heard that they plan on keeping him, and for good reason, two 5 Star DL are still considering UF if he stays. Plus, he's one of the best in the business at his job. Hopefully we get both, but we'll see if we get either in about a month.
