How old are you? Not being facetious in any way, but I'd imagine most of the ones who say at no point ever no way would they even consider it...are probably older, married, established with a good job, kids, the works. I'm in my 20s and single so the thought of retiring tomorrow with essentially unlimited money is pretty appealing.

I'm pretty proud of my life so far. The chances of someone offering me half a billion dollars are, I'd say...pretty slim, so I don't think I'll ever have to worry about living with that decision.

47, but I wouldn't have done it at 37, 27, or 17 either because as I said, it isn't about the money.
I could have made a lot more money in my career field had I chosen to move to a different state or even a different city but I like were I live so I stayed and I have no regrets.
Again, it isn't about the particular act. It is about what values you're willing to compromise for money and what makes you truly happy.
