HRD said it best, imo...
quote:
I became acquainted with fade and his life via Facebook. We developed a mutual respect from our many pork barrel debates, and he eventually located me and "friended" me to share information and legal analysis.
He was a kind hearted soul, who chose his profession in accordance to his compassion for his fellow man. He found my views fascinating while vehemently denying most of them validity.
And that was cool.
He advised me from time to time on my various "adventures", and his council was true.
I am better off from gotten to know him a bit, and saddened that I never ventured into his world and shared a beer.
I thought about posting a link to the obit, but have decided against sharing it. He lived amongst us as cantseefade, and perhaps should "fade" out as the same, leaving the family and true friends to mourn in peace, without our jackassery.
He would be happy, I believe, to see that he has been honored with the title to this week's Hunger Games. I know he was an avid fantasy sports guy, and that he used the same handle to play them elsewhere. This is the best tribute that could be paid to him, from my knowledge, and for that Jeff deserves recognition.
Onward, bitches...

He was a member of the Dawg Rant fantasy football league. I am playing him this week and noticed that there were several holes in his line up that were not being filled. When I saw HRD's post, I unfortunately understood why. The league has decided that Retooc (our administrator) will fill out his roster every week. As Fade currently stands tied for 2nd place, he stands as good a chance as any to win it and his roster is stacked. He did a good job. If he does win out, the cash will go to a charity or his family. I hope he does.
RIP Fade.
