Which is why it probably didn't happen. Death threats over something that meaningless and obscure after a win in which Bama fans were the farthest emotion away from rage or anger makes zero sense. This has rival fan posing as Bama fan on twitter written all over it.

I saw a Bama fan talking to shite on Twitter to Aj McCarron's mom after they lost the Sugar Bowl last year. The mother of a QB who helped lead them to the previous 2 championships. Another Bama fan killed a fellow fan for 'not caring enough.' And then there's Harvey Updyke.

So yea, I'm going out on a limb and saying there are a few nutcases out there who sent him ridiculous threats on social media.

There are a small few deranged losers in every fanbase, no need to try and deny it.
