LSU fan from PA that will be attending the Fla-SC game on Saturday with a crew of 8 (PA/NY guys). We're staying about 1-2 mile from the stadium. Any advice for pre/post game tailgates or hang outs? How about nightlife on Friday and Saturday night?

It was supposed to be a top 25 matchup in the summer for the East. We should have known that Muschamp would screw it up. SHocked that the HBC is awful too. Friend of a friend is an associate AD at UF.

It's a noon game. There is nothing going on before. If Florida wins midtown will be active.

Ask your friend of a friend to let you on the field/locker room before game.

If not then go get breakfast, then go to te game.

Mark's Prime steakhouse downtown for a good dinner on Friday. Decent bar scene downtown as well.

Plenty of bars on University after the game to watch MSU-Bama et al.

If youre in the mood for tasty burgers, McDonalds is a Gainesville staple. For Italian, nothing beats Olive Garden. In the mood for Mexican?... There is a place just off of University called Chipotle that serves the best burritos in town. For mouth-watering BBQ, I would recommend Sonny's. Enjoy a nice breakfast at the local Denny's or Waffle House. For good pizza check out Dominos Pizza. There is no shortage of fine eating establishments in Gainesville.
