It's more that Cam being out would force a reshuffling of the offensive line. His "backup" is our starting RT who was penciled in to be the LT this year before Cam came in and took the job. So then we'd have plug in a new guy at RT. Cam being out would put a couple of guys in new spots, it wouldn't just be his backup filling in and everything else holding steady. I think that's why some people think we'd be better off with a not 100% Cam playing (as long as he can obviously).

U guys are paying talented coaches alot of money to handle these situations. Its not like the RT is not the backup for the LT at many schools.
Off week as well, something tells me Bama will be fine on the OL and it will have very little influence on the outcome of the game. Lose your 2nd string tackle and I will think theres something to exploit there.
LSU lost 3 starting OL in 2012 the week of the Fla. game in the Swamp.(scheduling does matter) Cost LSU the Natty most likely.
Took them all of one week to get back rolling and that was with Stud performing 2 roles.
You guys have had an extra week to work out the what ifs.
