Gotta give him credit, he seems pretty effective in my book.

He is certainly in the running for the best. I'd give it to him personally. I think he clearly plays the best in the system that he is in, which is basically all you want your QB to do.

ETA: Obviously, argument can be made for Prescott too.

So are you trying to say Blake is the best? Wonder why he is getting zero love from the Maxwell Award while three other SEC QBs are

Didn't he just throw for 250+ yards, 2 TDs, 68.2% completion percentage, 11.5 ypa against the #1 scoring defense in the country?

In fact, Texas AM was the only other team to throw for 2 TDs against Ole Miss. It took them 53 attempts to get there while it only took Marshall 22.

Marshall's 186.07 passer rating is the highest given up by Ole Miss by a starting QB all year.

This thread makes zero sense.

AJ McCannon won the Maxwell last year. Game manager only award.

He may not be the best, but he's up there. That being said, when it's late in the 4th and a play has to be made, the man gets shite done.

Nothing says game manager like a fifth year senior who never got a chance who just feeds one receiver against really bad teams

I thought it was lazy naming him pre season first team but he has played as well as anybody this far.
