wasnt the uga run defense a strength going into it? i know they said something about them not giving up a run longer then 20 yds all yr or something

i still dont know how our OL pushed em around like that all day and they kept letting us get the edge pruitt shite the bed big time

What else were they going to do? We were gashing them inside and out and kept them guessing. They stack the box and we get 50+ yard runs once we hit the 2nd level because nobody is left.

That was the narrative... Looking back, though, South Carolina ran pretty effectively against us. Arkansas never had a chance to establish its running game (thankfully), due to all the early turnovers.

Like Josh just said, I think Florida did a nice job of mixing up the runs outside the tackles with misdirections and the pulling guard trap plays. Our linebackers and defensive ends rarely figured out what Florida was doing.

We talk a lot about gameplanning opponents, but I think it's pretty apparent that Florida's coaching staff did the much more difficult self-examination of strengths and weaknesses. Once the momentum went Florida's way in the 2nd quarter, you could see the players start to buy in. It was an impressive turn around.
