Memphis should just shut down their football program

They are about to go 5-3, have a good team who almost knocked off a top 10 UCLA team on the road and gave us a game for a while. And tonight they are playing Tulsa, are currently up by 19 with a good amount of time left in the 4th quarter and they have MAYBE 5,000 fans there to support their team.
Tommy West was right. If you're not going to pour money into it or support the program, just shut it down. There's no difference in the crowd size compared to tonight and when they were winning 1 game a year.

I was there for every home game when I was a student, but haven't been to a home game since. The football players were fun to hang out with though.

I'm about as die hard and loyal as they come but on Halloween, if I didn't spend it with the kids, I'd consider myself a terrible father. Scheduling a game on Friday is stupid. Scheduling it on a Friday that is also Halloween is beyond stupid.

I've seen us play in front of an announced attendance of 37k. This was 7 years ago. There may have been 20k at the beginning of the game. There is a such thing as a literal fair-weather fan, and there are many of them.
