I mean you can't have it both ways. It was all "well you only scored on our second string" but you mean to tell me everybody was ok with it being pretty close until late in the 4th?

If it's a system that allows fresh bodies on the field to avoid bad red zone situations then it is what it is. But it comes off pretty rich when it's thrown around as a "you weren't good enough for our first string" if you're essentially saying your first string can't last on the field.

It was a game we knew we were better so we played guys more than we normally would. Against lsu, aTm, and auburn we didn't mass sub until game was essentially over.

We know we lose a lot of seniors this year so we're playing some guys to make sure they're ready next yeat imo

If you noticed everytime you got within 1 score, we put in our best. That's why you couldn't tie it up

Why does it matter? We've won every game.

Yes. The game was never really in doubt. You had the ball what? twice? with a chance to tie? And you didn't get a first down in those situations. We were basically using that game as a scrimmage -- no different than we used UAB. Stoops saw that too when he reviewed the film...

It's not about the redzone -- it's about gaining experience for guys that are going to have to carry us next year. There isn't a talent dropoff between 1A and 1B, it's an experience difference. You picked on the 2nd team free safety extensively in that game, and we'll be better in the future because of it...

We haven't had a game legitimately in doubt this year. We've trailed for fewer overall minutes than FSU trailed for last night. Literally -- 2 drives. Probably under 5 drives with teams in striking distance all season. We haven't even remotely come close to playing a complete game yet is both the good and scary thing...

Our 1b D is not our 2nd string. Two diff units.
