I've heard y'all mention that the D coordinator has an A team and B team that he rotates frequently and most of the big plays have happened against the B team. How do you like this approach and do you think it will continue to be effective?

Being able to put a fresh 1A team in after the opponent has reached the redzone has really helped us keep teams out of the endzone.

Allegedly their B team is the only reason our game was close or something like that.
If so, seems like an issue with coaching philosophy if you're not willing to put away teams you should.

I like it when we can get away with it. You may not see the true rewards of frequent substitutions for another year or so, but it's smart coaching.

it's incredibly frustrating at times, but we will be praising it next year.

Ohio and Vanderbilt held UK to fewer points than Mississippi State did...

It's great to keep the A team fresh for when we truly need them. I also love it, because opponents continue to underestimate our defense when we haven't even played the A team for a full 60 minute game.
