And, if that scenario of the SEC west comes about, how can we be chosen against others (if we win the SECCG)?

IF the SECW cannibalizes itself and all teams have 2 losses going into the SECCG and IF those teams ahead of us go 28-0, sure, I can't say with confidence that a win for us would be a lock. I do think we still have a chance though, and a damn good one. We have 1 loss, so does everybody else except for FSU. We also potentially have two wins over a top 10 opponent which only one or two other teams may be able to claim.

Here are the possible scenarios for all SECW teams to have 2 losses:

LSU wins out, beating Alabama; Alabama beats Mississippi State and Auburn; Ole Miss loses to Auburn and beats Mississippi State; Auburn beats Georgia. Now Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss all have two losses. Or Alabama beats LSU and Mississippi State, but loses to Auburn; Ole Miss beats Auburn and Mississippi State, but loses to Arkansas; Auburn beats Georgia and Alabama. Now, Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss all have two losses.

Odds that happens?

It's these slim odds that make me say with fairly strong confidence: if we win the SEC, we are almost certainly a lock. Not guaranteed, but all 2,891 chips have to fall in a precise order for it not to happen.
