Let's say this plays out, State finishes the season at number 1 and Ole Miss is number 4. Or if Bama/Auburn is number 4, doesn't matter. We have to travel to Cali fricking fornia to play the game.

I find that ridiculous. Congrats, you are in the playoff. Now you and your divisional opponent, located 40 miles apart (in the case of state and Bama), have to travel all the way across the country to watch your teams play each other.

Just a thought.

Welcome to big time bowl games lil buddy. Trips to awesome stadiums like the Rose Bowl are cool. Better than Nashville or Memphis. I promise.

The #1 team gets the site closest to them... So if MSU or FSU is #1 at the end the 1 vs 4 game will be at the Sugar bowl.

If SEC teams are 1 & 4, the game is in New Orleans, not California. Number 1 seed plays closest to home.
