Again, that is irrelevant.

The playoff for the NATIONAL championship should pit teams from different conferences from around the country. What matters should be being the best team in your conference - proven by winning on the field.

Anything else is subjective and prone to backfire on proponents. Be careful what you wish for, you may get it. I want the SEC champion to be GUARANTEED a spot in the playoff, even if they have 3 losses.

I dont want any 3 loss team guaranteed a spot. They are not one of the top 4 teams if they have 3 losses IMo

A panel is determining who the best 4 teams are. Even in YOUR scenario, they would have to choose the "best" conference champs, which may or may not be cut and dried.

The entire premise is subjective. To imply otherwise is intellectually dishonest.
