I wish they would take the top two teams, regardless of location and allow them to play for the conference championship. The problem with that is that the Iron Bowl is often these two teams. Neither AU or Bama would want to play again the next week.

it would allow teams to schedule however they wanted though as long as it was 8-9 games in conference.

No it isn't. Maybe a couple times in the past 20 or so years (2010 and 2013)

haha dude really? Last year was the first time that the Iron Bowl ever decided the SEC west and it probably won't this year. Auburn still has to survive OM and Bama still has to survive LSU and MSU. I think it is a safe bet to say that one of the teams in the Iron Bowl will have 2 SEC losses and not be in contention.
