The play calling in the first half was inexplicable, imo.

Six pass attempts in the half, and not a 3rd down conversion till the 4th quarter should tell you all you need to know about the game plan.

I hope Stoops and Brown spend some quality time together this week and plan to do something this weekend to shake up the play calling.

Sounds like they stuck to the same plan all game - whatever the hell that plan was. It was frustrating to watch, imo. Mizzou's defense was killing the short yardage game UK was trying to play in the first half. I couldn't believe it when they didn't give Towles any shots downfield given that (I don't count that INT before the half because they should've had Towles taking at least a few shots and getting into rhythm wayyyyy before that last minute drive).

What made it more perplexing to me is that Mizzou's strength is it's dline far more than it's secondary.

Stoops and Brown may have thought they could get away with being conservative in the first half because Mizzou's offense has struggled so much all season (I think they're 119th in offense) but Brown should've adjusted at the half when it became clear that the offensive gameplan wasn't working. I still think it's a bit risky to play conservative early on and particularly risky in a road game but I can at least understand the tendency to plan that way.

Did UK have any key injuries that might account for the gameplan?
