Feature, not a bug.

IMHO, Tubs wanted to show the PTB that a TF-type offense wouldn't work in the SEC. Then he made sure it wouldn't work by undermining Franklin at every opportunity.

Then Tubs gets to walk away with his reputation more or less intact and a check for $5 large in his pocket. Clever guy.
