I didn't know OM and LSU were rivals either. I thought MSU was their rivalry?
Historically, Ole Miss is the SEC's a-hole. They suck dick for decades and then manage a good season or two. Rinse and repeat.

Granted I am younger, so when I first started following football closely Bama was pretty bad so these games never meant anything. Then UT started to get bad when Bama got good. So honestly I didn't know UT and Bama were rivals, much less had a name for their rivalry until I was in my 20s.
That being said, I also have never really thought of Ole Miss as huge rivals either. Outside of 2003 this will be the only game of national significance I can remember watching. I've heard many great stories about LSU fans chanting "go to hell Ole Miss" after games against other opponents though.
