In east Tennessee if you aren't from around those parts it can be tough. Very provincial, low IQ people in large swaths of east TN and western NC. Really all of Appalachia. Banjo picking slackjaw dumb.

I lived in Louisiana for a year.....you guys don't really have much room to talk. You obviously are one of the inbred mouth breathers I met when I was there.

As you venture east from Nashville and get into the plateau area of Crossville/Cookeville things start going downhill fast. Pull in at any small town convenience store and the cast of Deliverance is loitering around. Some on cell phones which is strange to see.
