Meh, except for the playoffs bowl game pairing is a popularity contest.

Slocum never won 2 consecutive bowls. Franchione never won a bowl. Sherman never won a bowl.
Sumlin is the first coach at A&M to win 2 consecutive bowls since Jackie.
