If you watch, Chubb is much slower getting to the line. He can move once he is full speed, but he doesn't have near the acceleration Gurley has....YET!
Once Chubb adds that element over the next 12 months....,,,,,watch out

i had not broken it down that far yet. I tend to get caught up in a game and wach how a play plays out and not watch the technical aspects!
You are right, though, quick acceleration is something that can be worked on.....and it could be from a lack of experience. He wants to see a hole developing before going towards it. As he learns to trust his OL this should improve. If he can improve in this area he will definitely be special. He has already proven he can break tackles, and run with speed.
Based on what you have pointed out he needs to work on accelerating and based on what I have seen, his vision....knowing where to look. (Although I base this on one play against Arky where he broke back inside when had he broken outside could have gone for a additioal 10-5 yards.) SOME coaches teach the RBs to it the assigned hole no matter what, though, so I don't know if this was the case or not.
