It's sad to see a once vibrant community, especially one as big as Gary, abandoned and in severe decline. The series Life After People has used settings in Gary as examples of what happens to buildings and communities when they're abandoned by people.

I was just about to say, every picture I have seen of Gary reminds of some post-apocalyptic, "Life After People" stuff.
