Not bad, I think that's healthy

I think I quit melting about the time Sims scrambled for that long TD. At that point, it was already out of hand, and I just sat back and laughed at the ridiculousness of the situation.

2014 was supposed to be the rebuilding year all along. We got ourselves all lathered up after looking better than expected against SC, but as long as we improve from here on out, like you said, I'll be content to see where we're at next fall. This league has a way of being a meat-grinder when you're average, and letting you get rolling when you're deserving/lucky (see Auburn last year). Not saying we're going to pull an Auburn and play for it all in 2015, but one mediocre year does not a program break, if indeed Sumlin is our man for the long term. Jury's still out on that, and will be for quite some time, and changes among coordinators and such will definitely need to be made, but let's see how/if this team can grow up from here on out.

I still think we can turn things around. We aren't as good as USCe and we aren't as bad as Bama. I could see anywhere from 6-6 to 8-4. LSU & Mizzou are both good, not great. I think 7-5 is the most likely.

I went into the Alabama game thinking we were going to lose as bad as that sounds. We were awful against the Mississippi schools and this Alabama team was going to be pissed after almost losing (and should have, like us) to Arkansas, who would be 5-3 if they had a DECENT quarterback.

I didn't think it would be that bad, but the Sims run was also when I just sat back and laughed because that's all you can do really
