I actually got the feeling that the coaches knew Arkansas' offense isn't built to come back from a 38-6 lead and that the only way they could win is if we let them get a bunch of quick strikes. Therefore, we went more conservative on D and left the underneath stuff more open while focusing on keeping the ball in front of us, and made them drive longer for the scores. And while it was frustrating to watch, it worked. It was also aided by some penalties (some I thought were a little ridiculous but some were definitely legit).

On offense, it definitely didn't seem like the blocking was near as good as it was in the first half, especially not on running plays. Mason also seemed like he didn't trust the blocking as much in the second half and I'm sure that, along with the big lead for most of the half, led to the lack of big downfield attempts.

I'm honestly not taking too much away from the 2nd half performance. If you'd told me last week that the team would go in and do what they did yesterday and that the main complaint would be going too soft in the 2nd half and letting Arkansas come back to a 13 point loss, I'd take it every day of the week.

If you don't think UGA let its foot off the gas than you need glasses. Zone D and no blitzing describes the 3rd quarter.
