The UAAA can also be used for this which would bring criminal charges in for them. No matter what the NCAA does GA can prosecute if they believe they enticed Gurley and gave him money. Why I could see the lawyers coming in because they may try and make a deal. Under the UAAA GA can go after phone records, emails, and what not. NC is doing it right now for what happened at UNC, even using it to go after the tutor. AL is possibly following suit for the same type of issues. 43 states including GA have signed on to implement this act and now it seems it is being used.

That is correct. In Georgia's statute, it is not a criminal offense, although they have expressed that they are exploring the possibility. That does still leave the possibility for criminal charges.
At the end of the day, no one wants this going any further, as there are no winners if it does. UGA, Gurley, the NCAA, and the individuals would all suffer if it were pursued further. Hopefully, these guys will now understand that they will be liable in the future to quit pulling this crap on these guys. Unfortunately, these guys are easily enticed by a little money in college, not saying it's right, it's just the reality. Make no mistake, Gurley knew what he was doing was against the rules. UGA is very emphatic about letting the players know this, but he chose to do it anyway.
Other memorabilia dealers have come out and said UGA players are very difficult to get autographs from since the AJ Green situation, but it only takes one.
