Depth Chart analysis (2010-2014 classes)

Based off remaining players on the roster. For starter purposes, I'm including situational starters such as TE and NB. Walkons are noted but not counted. I included transfers for purposes of this analysis.
2010 class: 6 players (5 starters)
2011 class: 13 players (6 starters including Brandon Williams. Bass is a walkon from this class)
2012 class: 12 players (5 including Josh Lambo)
2013 class: 21 players (5 starters)
2014 class: 21 players (3 starters)
Of the 2 deep:
2010 - 5/6 (all starters, although Harrison shouldn't be)
2011 - 13/13 (including Bass. Cheek should be starting)
2012 - 9/12 (including Lambo)
2013 - 12/21
2014 - 10/21
Attrition in the 2013 class really hurt us: Claiborne, Golden, Points, Williams, Larue, Polo, Aguilar, Wilson are all gone. The #2 rated player (Manning) hasn't cracked the 2-deep.
This should stop all "we're young" discussions, as over half of our 2-deep have been in the program for at least 3 years.

dude, WBS is right, you are melting catastrophically.
We start more 1st and 2nd year players than any team in the SECW. We have more 1st and 2nd year players in our 2-deep than anyone in the SEC. There are many legitimate things to complain about, but we are an exceptionally young team. We knew this going into the year. An attempt to spin otherwise is full retard.

Mississippi State is the ONLY team in the SEC West that starts fewer 1st and 2nd year players than A&M does.
Even if you count Ifedi as a "2nd year player", Arkansas starts 8 and Alabama starts NINE. Your statement is completely false.

Pope is not a 2nd year player. He's a redshirt sophomore (3rd year in the system).

Noil only started against Lamar, Rice, and Arkansas. That's 3/7 games.

Irrelevant. Ricky Seals-Jones is a Freshman, yet he's a 2nd year player. Josh Reynolds is a junior, yet he's a 1st year player. Cameron Clear and Tommy Sanders are seniors, yet they are 2nd year players.
Next thing you're going to try to claim is that Devonta Burns is a 1st year player even though he's a redshirt junior because he didn't play until this season.

That doesn't make him a 2nd year player this year. The reason he didn't play until last season was that he just wasn't good enough to see the field.

Technically, it's Garrett Gramling's second year playing. He's a 2010 player and you can't even remotely make the argument that he's a "second year" player.

Gramling played in one game in 2011 and 2012 so it's technically not. This information is readily available so you might want to start accessing it to be less wrong. Using your logic with Clear we can also now call Brandon Williams a second year player.

Nope. Williams is a 2011 player. Clear is 2013. Williams has been in the program since 2012.
