Saban really is awesome.
His approach to everything is so perfect. He's the GOAT.

If your team doesn't have a proven Qb and leadership on both sides of the ball you will look a lot like Bama. Just saying.

Bama fans can deny it all they want, but if the powers at Texas hadn't screwed up Mack Brown's departure so badly, Nick would have taken the Texas job. He could have gotten big money to rebuild the program and retire after about 5 years.

Nick should give the NFL one more shot while he can. Age isn't a factor when you have a five year window to win a Super Bowl. He has plenty of money from the Gumps and he will make good coin in the NFL.
Plus it has to eat at him that Pete Carroll is considered a better football coach having won a Super Bowl. Another national title at Bama won't make him a better coach.

I know. My team doesn't have any of those things.
I love Saban. He's so awesome.

After seeing the entire video, I have to say, props to CNS.
I understand where he is coming from.

Sometimes, however, extremely talented teams don't gel, highly recruited prospects don't pan out, or there's simply a lack of leadership on a team. Occasionally, as you've seen this year, less talented teams gel very well, upperclassmen take over teams, and teams that shouldn't be outstanding simply are.
The talent at conference rivals is catching up quickly, and they don't seem to be having the same problems "gelling" that Bama is having. That's a direct indictment of leadership. tDecline is going to hit hard.

I went into this season thinking that we would lose 3 possibly 4 games. Most rational Bama fans did not think this would be a championship year.
That said, I am disappointed to see players who lack passion; a fire in their belly and who at times, looked lost. That's the part that has fans reeling. If your team loses, but everyone has played with passion and guts, then one can accept a loss.

I thought a 10-2 type season was in the cards most likely.
I did not however expect us to look like an absolute trainwreck, playing super sloppy with turnovers and penalties and unforced errors and no discipline, etc.

Those things are frustrating, but are fixable. Lacking talent is not. Bama can still beat anyone. Including themselves.

Funny how times change even with HOF coaches.
Personally, I like the high expectations of the Gumps.
And nobody, but nobody, would have questioned a 14-13 win when Coach Brant was leading the Tide.
Finally, the Hawgs are going to be a force to be reckoned with, I think as early as next year.

Nailed it. In addition, the media/fans do not take into consideration how disrespectful it is to Arkansas to denigrate a one point win by Bama. Nothing comes easy in the SEC. Nothing.

There was a lot of questioning during the 60's Slide when some at Bama wanted to run Bryant off before he reinvented himself with the wishbone.
Saban probably rehearsed that diatribe while brushing his teeth that morning. He uses the press to talk to his players. The fact that he's taking up for so much now indicates to me there's a mental problem going on.

Didn't you watch the video?
He said that wasn't frustrating.
Wait, then he said, well it is.
Then, he REALLY said it got frustrating...
He is the definition of frustrated.
You gotta wonder does he ever enjoy himself?

As a senior military officer I share many of the same personality characteristics of CNS. And to answer your question, I would have to say no. The root of his greatness as a HC is his drive to excel. And that simply does not permit you to enjoy life very much.
