Even more than that, from a recruiting standpoint, UGA can't have the perception out there that UGA isn't looking out for the best interests of their players.
That's ignoring the fact that ADs and HCs are judged on their ability to win football games, and this would be deliberately undercutting that ability.

We should put out a press release...
"The signed jerseys followed Todd home, texted him continually, and were signed by at least one other player within one hour of being allegedly signed by Gurley." Take the UF approach.
