Good Idea, but bad example. I have lived the Jax thing. Not a great city. The people don't know who they want to be but a lot of it is not great. The city has very little to do except hot humid Jax games. Some good restaurants, but few concerts of any note (with a few exceptions). Unless you live out near Ponte Vedra and like to golf, it can be very boring. Just my experience. I am sure someone will rise up and disagree, and that's fine. I like Atlanta much better (except for the no beach thing).

JAX, the downtown itself, sucks. It's god awful. It's the landing and then businesses. But I really like Atlantic Beach, obviously, but I like all the suburbs of JAX like San Marco. If I lived in JAX I'd prop my happy arse up in San Marco.
