I think Ole Miss does have a chance

However, as an outsider on this campus it is pretty bizarre. Auburn hosted Gameday like once a year when I was there so it's just not a big deal to me. We always had huge games garnering national attention so this game is just meh to me. The OM fans here, however, are going batshit insane. Good for them and all, but I think it is going to absolutely crush some of these people if Bama wins.

Many truly are treating this like an SECCG or NCG

When I was in Oxford from 2008 to 2013, we were never in the news or sport headlines for positive things. Insert your race jokes here.I think the hysteria surrounding this weekend is because the Rebel Family is excited that we're going to have positive publicity for once.

Also, largely, our fanbase is social and fraternal, so this is yet another opportunity to head back home and re-connect with those you shared your collegiate days with.

Will we win? Probably not. Will we all have fun? You're damn right.
