Says he is sorry that it is perceived that he did this on purpose. Says it's all part of football and couldn't be helped. The video feed intentionally made it look like he did it on purpose.

It just got tweeted out. Thought about that but didn't want to get banned again

So to summarize, Day says he's a baller and sorry for partying but did nothing wrong.

I cannot tell you the number of times I was accidentally stepped on, accidentally kicked, accidentally speared with a helmet, accidentally elbowed, accidentally bit, etc. Then we stopped practice and started playing games against the opposition where things got really nasty.

Bingo.

To be fair -- Day has been a little dirty all season if you've been paying attention. Alot of extracurricular shite. He gets more of a pass for the LSU game from me because he actually played well, whereas he's been bad in a few games this year. I dunno what's going on with him -- but I doubt that I'm the only one that has noticed it. I like OL to have a nasty streak -- but he's been taking it too far and I really hope this one doesn't bite us in the arse in a huge way(He's the one OL we absolutely can't replace IMO). I'm not saying the stomps were intentional -- but you get less of a pass when you've got a bit of a reputation how he does...

That said, I'll never give the LSU crybabies on tRant the satisfaction of actually having a "real" conversation about it. So frick em.

Best post from a State fan I've seen concerning this situation. I agree it's good for your o-linemen to have a nasty streak but to just write it off as "I was playing hard and following the ball" is bullshite. Like you said, he may not have done it intentionally but he has a history of playing dirty. I also don't know why Day failed to address the play where he hit the LSU defender 2 seconds after the whistle was blown.

True but he should have at least apologized for it. That's what I was saying.
