Kareem, you are right. I need to take a deep breath.

I did not join the Corps (because my scholarships were dependent upon maintaining really, really good grades, and I really needed those scholarships), but I have great respect for the institution.

As I said above, my grandfather was Class of 1937 (and obviously in the Corps). He served in WW2 and thereafter, retiring with stars on his collar.

Having the institution (and by proxy my grandfather) insulted as a "pretend soldier" by a low-grade moron who could probably not qualify for admission to TAMU got under my skin.

Breathing exercise complete.

good for him, i bet he wasn't such a prickly puss as his grandson turned out to be.

i'm sure almost all of us have family members that served- i know i certainly do. i'm thankful for them all.
