Nick doesn't go through his progressions. He locks on to the #1 guy and slings it. I have seen him check down to the running back 3 or 4 times this year which is great, but he doesn't go through his route tree.
Not sure how much of that is on Nick and how much of it is on the coaches telling him "throw it to Duke on this play" or "throw it to sammie on this play"
If he does hit Uzomah you can put money on Uzomah was the #1 read on the play.

Because that is the system. Gus reads the d version the sideline then calls the play where the first read should be open. It's been that way since 2009, Chris Todd did the same thing.
That might change next year with IN having 3 years in the system. That is until Sean White beats him out.
