He's using college football to troll a bunch of fan bases so that they start threads about him on message boards and increase his popularity. Some will read it and either say, He's an idiot. I'm going to tune I to hear how stupid he is so I can post about him too.", or "I like what he said. I'm going to listen to him so I can hear an opinion that agrees with mine."
He's just using the finebaum blueprint to use ignorant football fans to a bigger payday.

Eh, I really actually like listening to him. I do think some of his "outside the box" thinking is actually pretty solid.
Some of it is just laughably dumb though.
