And this is the narrative to follow. He's changing -- a lot of head coaches don't do that, but when a coach can admit his faults and change his entire outlook on a program when something doesn't work that's a sign of good things to come.

He made horrible, stupid mistakes but correcting himself is a fantastic attribute to have.

I just have to wonder if Roper is successful, if he'll be the only reason the team is going to do well.

Our defense has never needed help (in contemporary times) and so if our status improves because of his tenure, we may still need to consider other HC's.
