Yes, although the screaming, threats of violence and the emotional violence were much worse than the whippings I got.
So all the misfit toys have getting beaten by their parents in common.
Beating children is sad. Planning the beatings of an unborn child is sickening. Please get help now.
Go 'Canes.
I have always been amazed at the nolstagic waxing a bunch of men will do when this subject is brought up. The only way that this subject could conjur up the warm remembrances of childhood that it does among so many adults is if those childhoods were barren of parental notice at all except when it came time to physically attack the child for mis-behaving. Add some alcohol to the mix and you will have otherwise hardened men almost on the brink of tears when they reminensce about Mama and her belt....it is realy interesting...

Not at all. My father was at every little league game...football game and MOST practices while I was growing up. He was a vey loving father, but strict. He set an excellent example for me on how to treat other people and how to act in public. There was only one instance when I felt he was out of line or unfair....and that included no sticks, switches, belt or physical demonstratio at all. just words. There are times when words hurt far worse than a belt or switch.
I also feel that beating is a word often used by people to make spanking sound worse. Gotta admit....beating sounds MUCH worse!

It's hilarious........
I'm going to puke if I read one more self-aggrandizing look-at-how-tough-I-am sappy story about "granny's switch" or "daddy's belt".
What a bunch of mindless horseshite. None of these cliche stories are about thoughts on disciplining kids. Their just about trying to make the person typing the bullshite story sound tough or old-school or something.
If you put bleeding welts up and down the legs of a 4-year-old. Of your own flesh and blood. Well..........I would of thought that it goes without saying what that reveals about someone. But, apparently not.
What a joke.
