When is the last time Auburn played an away game at a non power 5 conference school?

I know this season Mississippi State is playing at South Alabama....in recent years Ole Miss has played at Arkansas State and at Wyoming...this year Missouri played at Toledo.....I even remember in 1990 Alabama played a game against the Ragin Cajuns in Lafayette Louisiana

When we played @ Syracuse in 2001 they were a part of the Big East, so that would be a current non-Power 5.

We would play @ Georgia Tech in the late 70s when they were independent.

But I don't recall ever seeing Auburn go to an away game at a school that now isn't in a Power 5.

Better question is when was the last time AU played on the campus field of a commonly recognized non-major football school. I don't think GA Tech, F$U or West Virginia would fit.

The correct answer is our win over TCU in 1980. What's more interesting, is how few times AU has traveled to mid-major schools in the past. The only other instances since WWII that I can find are when we played at Memphis in '76 and Houston in '63 and in '57 (all AU wins). Other than road games vs Tulane when they were still in the SEC, we simply didn't play on the road versus non-majors.

ETA - Missed the game @ TCU in '80.
