Kid is lucky he is not in the state pen. Dakota Mosley was just the get away driver and never went inside the house, yet he was sentenced to 3 years in prison for his role in the robbery at Auburn a few years ago.

The Alabama student newspaper even said Pettway and his gang of thugs easily could have been charged with first degree robbery under Alabama law. That would have been class A felony and almost certainly would have equaled jail time

You make a good point, but the fact remains that Pettway didn't personally assault anybody, as has been misstated on this forum many times. Also, I'd imagine the fact that he has never had any previous problem with the law before may have been a factor, don't you think?

except the police report, statements from the victim, and fellow participants

I am not sure it matters if Pettway physically assaulted anyone. He at the very least was involved in what happened the same way Dakota Mosley was involved in the robbery at Auburn
