To answer the question, all depends on the defense. Dylan Thompson will be good but not great. I really don't see it this year honestly. I say we finish 3rd or 4th. I hope I'm wrong. ECU is a pretty good team and runs a similar offense to A&M, so I'm worried about them right now.

Yeah Thompson isn't the most efficient passer in the world but his stat line read 366 yards for 4 TDs and another dropped by the WR (via excellent hit by an Aggie DB) and most of the time we were in obvious passing situations and an abysmal run game. If our defense wasn't so awful I think the Gamecock faithful, and the SEC, would be singing his praises.

With that said our defense was bad. I'm not sure if one game and 5 more days of practice can just fix those issues. ECU is an "air raid" team and even when we hammered them a couple of years ago they still had a bunch of passing yards. Then comes one of the best rushing attacks in the SEC with UGA. Something that may help out the DBs but our Dline might get blown off the line.

We'll see. There is a lot of work to do in a short period of time.
