This actually provides some insight into the contrast between Sumlin and Spurrier's offense. Spurrier has been snapping off quips about Saban working too hard aka living in his office but it's pretty obvious that Spurrier isn't putting much effort into coaching these days. Sumlin's offense is clearly more innovative and it showed big time last night. From what I saw of the game, Thompson had plenty of time to throw on most downs but there was little or no creativity in getting receivers open.
